Referral Partner Center

Make a thoughtful introduction—then let the person choose the next step.

Our preferred referral process gives the prospective client the agency link and lets that person independently request contact.

The safest introduction

Prospect-initiated contact protects choice and clarity.

This is especially important for Medicare, where a third-party referral alone may not permit an outbound sales call.

  1. 01

    Introduce the agency

Explain that Spalter Insurance Group is an independent insurance resource.

  2. 02

    Share the link

Send the website, QR code, or approved agency introduction.

  3. 03

    Let the person decide

The prospective client independently requests contact.

  4. 04

    Record permission

The approved workflow captures who may contact the prospect and for what purpose.

  5. 05

    Licensed follow-up

An appropriately licensed professional handles product-specific discussion.

Approved-introduction boundary

Introduce. Do not advise, collect, or promise.

A referrer may
  • Share the agency's public information
  • Explain generally who the agency helps
  • Send an approved link or flyer
  • Let the prospect request contact
  • Request an educational event
A referrer should not
  • Recommend a plan or carrier
  • Discuss benefits, rates, underwriting, or tax treatment
  • Ask the person to apply
  • Collect medical or sensitive identifiers
  • Promise savings, eligibility, issuance, or enrollment
Example introduction
“Spalter Insurance Group is an independent insurance agency that helps people understand health, Medicare, life, supplemental, and employer-benefit options. If you would like, I can send you their website so you can request contact directly.”
Compensation boundary

Launch the resource center before launching rewards.

Michigan permits some non-sale-contingent referral compensation, but Medicare, Marketplace, rebating, inducement, telemarketing, carrier, and licensing rules create additional boundaries.

Working launch position

No paid consumer-referral reward at initial launch. Keep Medicare and Marketplace outside any initial paid program. Obtain program-specific legal, carrier, and compliance review before offering money, gifts, credits, drawings, tiers, bonuses, or charitable incentives.

Share—don’t submit

Let the prospective client contact the agency directly.

Share the public website or email address. The prospective client decides whether to contact the agency.
